In this position, it looks like the game is in mid-game position and at first glance you may not see the mate coming but white wins in 2 moves. Here is the exact Mate in 2.

    Looking at the solution for Chess Tactics Practice Problem 3 from March 29th white mate in 2 moves is true only if black recaptures white’s Rook after 1.Rxe8. If black defends g7-pawn with Queen or Knight white could not mate with 2.Qxg7.
